What is the tree?
The remains of the underground life
The tree is a magical entity born from the imagination of the kid who sculpted it. Within it remain her values, her curiosity and her enthusiasm, since her thoughts were written on its leaves, impregnating her creation with her spirit.
Main mecanics
It has the ability to create life, so creatures born from it, such as Swallow, are strongest near its roots. Also its leaves are collectible pieces that store the backstory of the subway.

It is a tree made of translucent quartz
Pyshical appearance
It is a translucent quartz tree that emanates white light when our characters are underground. Its roots are what we see most during the gameplay, their presence in greater quantity indicates that you are going down the right path.
Items
The items of the tree are its leaves, which fell long ago to the subsoil. In them are hidden the girl’s thoughts, which provide information to the protagonists.
Backstory
The tree is a creation of the girl. She carved it from a block of quartz and, once the work was finished, she created its leaves and carved what happened to them as a diary. The girl’s thoughts made it grow, causing its roots to expand underground.
When the girl’s father discovered what happened and the entity emerged, the tree was attacked and stripped of its leaves (which are now in the underground). But it survived thanks to the desires that the girl implanted in her being, turned into light.
It later decided to create Swallow to guide a robot recently awakened from the entity’s attack to the underground, so that the two would learn to appreciate life together, supporting each other.
