Quick thinking is one of her great virtues, she doesn’t always know what step to take, but she always repairs everything quickly.

Social skills

She has never had the opportunity to socialize with anyone other than K, but her personality is very open and she tends to help others. She also does not have the ability to communicate verbally, so she usually communicates with her wings and her head.

Main mecanics

Her main skill to repair crystal or quartz materials. In combination with K’s breaking ability, Swallow is able to rearrange fragments to create new shapes. This along with her ability to fly is essential for solving complex puzzles.

She is a swallow made of translucent quartz

Items

She is too small to carry more than one item with her, so she can only carry small fragments of quartz in her beak one at a time for short distances.

Pyshical appearance

She is a small bird similar to a conventional swallow but more cartoon style. She is made of translucent quarter and her body emits light.

Distinctive elements

Her brightness decreases or increases depending on the effort she make. The more energy she has, the brighter she will shine.

Backstory

The tree created Swallow in order to help K restore the sparkle that the entity had taken from the world.

The moment K reactivated after the entity’s attack, the tree gathered its remaining strength to turn the girl’s last leaf into a being with a life of its own. What the tree did not expect was that it possessed the spirit of the girl who had once created it.
Swallow was a loving and resolute swallow from the first moment she saw K damaged and harming her surroundings.
Since meeting him she has never been separated from him. Until by accident they become trapped in the depths.

During the plot

Objectives

She wants to return to her peaceful life on the surface.

Main conflict

Swallow wants to solve the riddles presented to her, but she is unable to do it alone, which makes her question her independence.

Motivation

Understand where they are and get home.

Character evolution

During the game Swallow learns more about the tree’s situation and better understands what she can do to help. She also learns to know her limits and to manage with K to find the answers she longs for.
